I can only reiterate Rob's words. Was astounded that with the extra
compression from new heads and the fact that some of the 'nasty' 98 PULP had
been sitting in storage for a month that we could see such resulting detonation.
After doing nothing but draining the fuel tank and refilling with some LL100
the motor ran like a charm. After draining the Avgas and refilling with some BP
98 PULP it ran just as nicely and on a hot day. Regards

they put in isLPG. If you want to check just how much, putsome fuel into a
glass jar with a tight screw lid. Put a mark on the meniscus at the start.
Shake vigorously. Now note the meniscus. If there is lots of LPG it will

Make sure you are not running Shell/Caltex premium now that summer is upon us.
We had some in the Dimona and in only a matter of weeks the RON rating
droppedto the point where detonation was occurring.
Use BP ...it doesn't have all the cheap volatiles that evaporate quickly
andreduce the RON rating.
