DIMONA H36 WITH SAUER S2500

For guess for several years now and only occasionally say ⅓ the time AND
ONLY FIRST FLIGHT OF DAY dimona takes off but you notice revs are down say
150 REVS. Soon after breaking ground say 100ft it goes to expected FULL
normal revs. You just continue and fly.

For years I thought it was an issue with carbs (they are bings) but turns
out throttle cable was stiffish and spring was not quite strong enough to
pull it all the way when seems things are cool. Lubrication of cable and
extra spring to be sure fixed it totally. I did check at last a annual but
did miss this as at the time it was ok.

I have got in the habit of running engine at lowish revs for 4 minutes then
shut down for 5 to even 10mins. This 4 min run spreads warmth through the
engine and oil temp gauge reads say 55deg when you start after the break.
Take off's after this warm up procedure never had an issue with zero lowish
revs to 100ft say..

This dimona has done 3500hrs and engine almost 900brs and so simple to fix.

PS when touring with others we get into habit of the 5min warm up with a
break and we all think it works well as I hate giving full power take off
to a cool engine. Worth considering
