Dear Dimona Owners,

I am Gyozo and I have a Dimona with 2000 hours. The last 500h was flown by me.
:)
Now we made the 500h maintenance and realized that there is a wooden board in
the fuselage below the box of containing the main spars of the wings.
It is strange that in the maintenance manual there is no hint of wood as
structural material.
Does anyone know what is the role of that wooden plate?
It can be seen only from the rear after the removal of fuel tank. A mirror of
endoscopic camera has to be put in the central canal where the rods to the
rudder run. Such way you can see upwards the lower surface of the sparbox which
is covered with that wooden plate.

I have heard from one pilot that this wooden plate might have been replaced by
a plastic one at the 3000h overhaul but he did not remember who told it. For
sure that place is not accessible. The only way to do anything there is that
the fuselage has to be cut from below.

Your help would appreciated if anyone knows what is the role of that wooden
plate, or if anyone has the detailed technology of 3000h overhaul.

With many thanks and best regards

Gyozo
