hi jarek
if your electric fuel pump is fitted as per standard it should be between the
fuel tank and the fuel valve. there should definitely be fuel coming out (if
the fuel vale is open) my fuel pump (which i believe to be standard) makes a
TIC tic TIC tic TIC tic noise ticking every 0.5 seconds (or so). try
disconnecting the fuel line on the inlet side of the mechanical fuel pump to
see if the fuel has made it that far. maybe the finger filter in the bottom of
the tank is blocked. mine was fairly pegged with silicone at one stage (various
sources judging by the various colours found). hope this helps

Subject: [DOG mailing list] H 36 electric fuel pump

Hi,

How to make sure the pump functions properly? Does it produce some audible buzz
sound when switched on? When I disconnected the fuel hose at the carburetor and
switched the pump on, no fuel flowed.

Is this pump just a back up in case the main engine driven pump fails during
take off / landing?

What is the electrical pump's location relative to the shut off valve? As per
diagram between the fuel shut off valve and the carb?

Tank you in anticipation

Regards
Jarek
