Hi jarek
Yep you are correct. Mine is not the same as the diagram in the maintenance
manual.

Ric,

Thank you. Does this mean that your fuel valve is downstream side of your
electric fuel pump and therefore not according to the diagram on page 13 of
this document?
http://support.diamond-air.at/fileadmin/uploads/files/after_sales_support/H36_Dimona/Airplane_Maintenance_Manual/Basic_Manual/H36-AMM-USA-1988-05-25-r0.pdf
I believe this is how it is in my Dimona unless the fuel hose is somehow
meandering from the shut off valve back to the vicinity of the fuel tank where
I know for a fact my electric pump is.

Regards
Jarek

i should add that the ticking noise dies off as the system is pressurised. but
if yours ain t ticking then there maybe some other gremlin at play.

others on here may know better and i'd be happy to hear about it but yes i do
believe it is a backup system.

do you have an inline filter as well?

i have found that buying a plane of this age with this many owners and
maintenance regimes, its hard to know what is standard and whats not.

i have an inline (automotive fuel injection- off a toyota camry i believe)
filter fitted directly to the downstream side of my electric fuel pump
(between the fuel pump and fuel valve)

Hi,

How to make sure the pump functions properly? Does it produce some audible buzz
sound when switched on? When I disconnected the fuel hose at the carburetor and
switched the pump on, no fuel flowed.

Is this pump just a back up in case the main engine driven pump fails during
take off / landing?

What is the electrical pump's location relative to the shut off valve? As per
diagram between the fuel shut off valve and the carb?

Tank you in anticipation

Regards
Jarek
