Hi Kurt, We had the same problem, and solved it by using longer bolts to evenly bring the two halves together. With the original taiilwheel bolts, you can't get even pressure and wind up pinching the tube. Talc it and inflate the tube just enough to make it round, no more. The solution was my idea so I'm writing instead of Tom! Cheers, Kristin
