Not with Dimona but with other glider main wheels I have been known to use
a piece of Mylar (or clear hard plastic) and double sided Tesa tape over
the join. The just the right pressure in tube should work.

Yes the aero Clasic 280/250-4  is now made in China but they are very good
compared to the cheap mower tyres.
