Hi XML-Gurus,
James and I currently discussed if we could use IBM's XML Security Kit to
add
XML Signature and Canoncial XML to dom4j.
Unfortunatly IBM's Kit it build complety on top of DOM. So the only thing we
can
do is resolve dom4j tree to DOM tree and let IBM's kit on this tree. I think
that
would be a ugly and unperformant solution. The kit seems to be very
powerfull and
supports some set of XML Encryption too.
I think we should implement Canonical XML and XML Signature on top of dom4j
by ourself. Tell me what you think about this and then I starting with
implementation tomorrow. Could become high traffic on this list now ;-)
By the way, german "Java Magazin" mention dom4j in a short news paragraph.
They emphasise the XPath, DOM and SAX support. They wrote that dom4j is
avaiblabe in Version 0.3 ;-) but they couldn't know how fast dom4j advance.
Ciao
Toby
