These lists are a lot like SPAM to me--more of an interruption than informative--the replies are usually in some way disjointed from the original message. And they are all "text". Come on this is almost 2009. Lists are really pretty passé if you ask me.

I think the Forum is definitely a compromise if you are already subscribed to the Discuss Lists but much better in the long run for fostering community. I DO hear loudly and clearly that folks on these lists are passionate about them staying true to their roots, but I think we'll all benefit from new blood in the community.
