Quoting Adam Eisner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi all,
After reading the flurry of comments over the past couple of days
here (whew!) there are a few different threads here that I'd like to
tie together.
<SNIP>
That said, email me at aeisner at tucows dot com before December 1
and I'll have your gTLD management fee knocked down from $3 to
$2.25. This is aimed only at folks on this list, and it's not
something we're going to make widely available. Consider it a 'thank
you' for your community involvement, and a partial bribe to use the
new forum. :)
The bribe part I would normally say no to but I really don't believe
that it is one and an extra .75 are alway welcome.
I've been using OpenSRS to register domains for customers for other
services and my own. I will hopefully be going online shortly, with
the new OSRS solution with credit card processing and all, if it is
usable. Being in Mexico, it is easier for me. Although the optimal
solution would probably have been the PHP5 interface that was going
around and I signed up for but never really got it working 100%. It
was, in theory, opensource but far too secret, IMO. Support was a big
pain in the ass. In projects like this one, FORUMS WOULD HAVE BEEN
GREAT and would probably have been the difference between success and
failure.
Thanks,
ed
