I remember when "Regulate" hit the airwaves. I was in
college. When I recognized the sample from "I keep forgettin'" I just
freaked out. Whenever I'm watching "Beyond The Rim" and I hear
"Regulate", it brings back college memories. A few weeks later I was
with my college band doing a medoly of "I Keep Forgettin'" and
"Regulate". We thought about recording it but it would have taken an
eternity to clear up the red tape.
Speaking of Rap and The Doobs, P.M. Dawn Sampled "Feelin' Down
Farther" for "A Watcher's Point Of View (Don't'cha Think)". If anyone
knows of other Doobs songs sampled in Rap, let me know.
