Jeff "Skunk" Baxter used to play riffs from Bonanza, Looney Tunes, and My Favorie Things (amoung others) within a Doobie tune just to see the audience was listening or to get some kind of a reaction. I though that was pretty clever.

I can remember at 2 different shows where the Brothers would start to
play a cover of a song, and then stop after just a few bars just to get
some laughs. The two I remember in particular are:
The Theme from the Pink Panther
&
Wild Thing.
Does anyone else recall any other songs they have done this with?
Or is this just residuals form my recreational usage in the '70's...
