I knew that I had to leave town for work Monday afternoon, and had read the
posts over the weekend regarding the new CD. Made certain that I arranged my
schedule to roll by a local record store to get my hands on it.
Well I've had enough time now to listen to the entire thing about 3 times and
fav's several times more. (I felt that was essential, I wasn't particularly
fond of Minute By Minute after the first listen. And that opinion changed
substantially.)
This sucker is awesome! Tom can still crank out "locomotive in your face"
rock as well as ever before. And it seems to me that Pat has really crafted
all aspects of his profession; songwriter, vocalist, musician - it's all
there at a very high level of quality. The versatility of the band and vocal
range is there in spades. So far as I could tell there were about 4
different genres represented. Of course we know it all as one, it's just
Doobies music.
This ain't comin' out of the CD player for a while.
