Hi all:
Well, lessee, where do I start--my name is Debbie Wunsch. The day I blow out
my birthday candles is January 17, and I also celebrated the 10th anniversary
of my 29th birthday this year. My husband Greg (whom I married in November of
1996) and I live in southern New Hampshire (since July of 1999). I am taking
a sabbatical from a 16-year insurance career to do some writing, take care of
our house and our cat, Necco, who is as close to a child as we have right
now. She found us in October of 2000.
In amongst all this craziness, I find time to indulge my love of music (both
live and recorded), our friends and family, reading, cooking, and gardening.
I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers since I was ten years old (that's 29
years, but who's counting) and my older brother brought The Captain and Me
album home and would listen to it on his stereo at night before he went to
sleep.
I saw my first Doobies concert at the Springfield Civic Center in
Springfield, Mass., in 1978. I was in the tenth row on the floor, and Eddie
Money opened. I saw them again in 1979, 1993, 1997, 1998, and 1999. A
lifelong dream came true for me in 1997 and 1998, when I was able to meet the
Doobies after their shows. I look forward to the Fleet Center show in Boston
in July.
The oldest item I have (other than the albums) is a T-shirt from the 1979
tour.
I look forward to meeting the wonderful friends I have made over the past two
and a half years on this list, as well as the new people.
Thanks for letting me ramble.
A proud New Hampshire Doobie sister,
Debbie Wunsch.
