Here's my two-cents worth about who I am.

Yes, my actual name is Thor. My grandparents were immigrants from Norway and
I'm named after some shirt-tail relative back here. In Norwegian mythology,
Thor is the God of Thunder, so be careful. Don't piss me off.

I live in Monticello, Minn., about 45 miles northwest of the Twin Cities.
I'm actually just a half a block off of the Mighty Mississippi, so each
clear night I have a "Mississippi Moon" shining down on me. I'm 39, single
and work as the editor of a monthly non-profit newspaper for senior citizens
in the Twin Cities. Beyond the band, my other passion is Minnesota sports
teams, particularly the Vikings, who always find a way to break my heart at
the end of each season.

My introduction to the Doobies came through high school football my freshman
year. On of the senior captains had control of the locker room stereo and
only allowed two choices: Frampton or the Doobies. Our harmonies in the
shower to "Black Water" were a lot better than our efforts together out on
the field. One of my other all-time favorite Doobie moments came following
the conclusion of the "Farewell Concert" tour in St. Paul. The arena was
connected to a parking ramp via a tunnel, and as everyone filtered out, this
chant of "Doobies, Doobies, Doobies," sprung up and echoed thunderously
throughout the tunnel.

I'm so looking forward to making my first-ever convention this summer and
finally attach some real faces to these names that I've become familiar with
over the three-or-so years I've been part of this group.

--Thor
