If you use molex or jst connectors do yourself a favor and buy the crimper, it is only $50 and it makes a world of difference. I have one and would never do crimp on connections without one. It is the only way to get secure connections. Some people use needle nose pliers to flatten the prongs but they do not hold well.

I get mine from: http://www.ferrulesdirect.com I just ordered a set for work.
