I'll post some pics tonight. The crimper takes about 5 seconds. If you
don't want to spend $50 you can order ratcheting crimpers off alibaba for
half that. I bought one and it is actually not bad. I needed it for some
really tiny crimp connections, sub 1mm pitch.

Ferrules slip over a stripped wire and then are crimped in place. At home I
use the molex crimper to crimp them in place, at work I have a real crimper
that is much faster. It's pretty simple, strip the wire, pick a ferrule for
the right size and crimp. No soldering, no stray wires, and a very solid
connection.
