As a point of reference my Comcastic business class cable internet service
in Vancouver, USA went from $86.90 to $98.84 a month with all taxes for
16/3 with five static IPs this month. Haven't noticed any rate change
notification via USPS mail, just the usual solicitation to "review my
business needs" every three or four weeks. I wonder how much I could save
if I could opt out of that nonsense and get credit for it. :-)

It regularly shows a speed of 18/3.5 according to SpeakEasy using the
Seattle hub.

The one major gripe I have is using their modem is mandatory and the
documentation is far from sufficient to get a server onto the internet.
What little I've found online is dated or doesn't appear to work. I did
stumble on a combination of settings for the cable modem + PFsense firewall
that sorta worked, after several hours, but didn't feel particularly
confident in the security or stability.

Other than that I've been a satisfied Comcast customer from back in the
@Home days.

Regards,
NealS
