Yeah, the ticket pricedrop was what clinched it for me.  I'm in.

As for their business model, I think you can see by their "partners" page
that they probably got more than a little dosh from companies(i.e.
Microsoft, Intel) trying to get their "internet of things" devkits or
platforms into the hands of people most likely to evangelize them to
everyone else(i.e. us).

Also, how many years will it take before someone comes up with a better
term than the "internet of things"? I vote for PKD's "The Rushmore Effect,"
since eventually everything's gunna be able to talk back to you anyway.
