Does anybody have any experience with Android Network settings?
periodically my Archos tablet (android 2.2) sends multiple UDP packets
that my router calls a UDP flood. this causes the router to stop
handling any other devices traffic, and also puts up the router alarm
light. The Log looks like this:
12/22/2012 12:48:20 sending OFFER to 192.168.1.5

This stopped the other computers working for about 15 seconds. It
doesn't just happen once, but sometimes at about 5 second intervals. I
would dearly love to be able to get at the Android network setup (or
higher level) and stop these floods. In the past I modified some router
parameters to allow a larger number of messages under certain
circumstances, but they are becoming a pain again.
whois gives:
111.221.64.0 - 111.221.127.255
netname: Microsoft
descr: Microsoft
descr: Microsoft Corp, Singapore
87.170.207.20 is RIPE and they give me a message:
error 201: access denied for 46.21.172.135
Sorry, access from your host has been permanentlydenied because of a
repeated excessive querying.
My router IP address is 92.22.94.209 so I am not too worried about that.
Any thoughts? For the moment I am going to disable the wireless on the
tablet when it is not in use, which is a bit of a pain, but the battery
should last longer.
Thanks, Peter
