Hi Terry

I don't know how many devices you have on your network, but could you try using the a laptop or PC IP address as the NAS DNS\Gateway IP address. The issue certainly seems that the Routers is the issue if you make the gateway something else (that can access the internet) on you network for the Nas (Do you have a windows device you could use)?

Regards

Tim

Long time ago when I first setup a linux box, I shared the dialup internet connection on my Windows PC to the linux box. The only way I could get it to work was to set the Linux box IP address as a static address and and set gateway and Dns to the IP address of the windows Box. Maybe if you set the nas to static IP and the DNS and gateway to the IP address of the router, you may get to the outside world?

Tim,

That's how I've had it ever since I bought the NAS Box 15 years ago.  It has worked fine through at least four different routers and two ISPs ever since, until now.  I only changed it to DHCP because the Netgear manual said to do it that way.
