I jest not :-). No all I'm saying is that it did the job for us and at least people 
should consider it.

Surely you jest, right? There are quite a few fully SQL compliant databases
that are free (starting with Access), and none of them (to my knowledge)
require the arcane setup and maintenance headaches that MSDE induces.
