Lol, I guess I didn't make myself appear all that knowledgeable.

I have enough experience to figure out how to develop the project in
Java, but this is a C# project, and as I'm new to C# and .NET, I'm not
sure what all is available and what the common programming approaches
are.

I figure that WPF is the way to go since Microsoft is pushing it over
Windows Forms, but from what I've read, WPF may not be ideal for
something such as a dynamic waveform. WPF uses a retained-mode
graphics API, and I may run into performance issues with displaying
visuals for audio data in real-time. Should I stick with Windows
Forms? Does C#/.NET provide any utilities for doing this kind of work,
or will I need to do some low-level programming?
