Well, I sent it too soon, I was still checking on stuff.

More pertinent info:

I've been trying to download and prepare USBs of,
doudoulinux-gondwana-1.2-es.img,   to no avail.
The sha1 checksum is correct, and although
the  USB will burn/write using the DDL procedure,
it will not actually boot and run.

It stops, saying there is a problem with X. I'll do it again and take
pictures.

I've used "liveusb-write", "dd" both with the iso and img, "unetbootin"
but none seem to produce a bootable USB. I can and did write some others.
