My solution would be to remove all Server which have known issues. Jabber.org
isn't reliable? talk.google.com is outdated and should refer to
http://www.google.com/hangouts/.

The listed servers in this sections are far from being reliably. If it is not
possible to establish Socks5 connections then the listed servers should not be
used. In fact an IBB connection will be established but this connections can
has very high latency and very small bandwidth available (typically only 4
kB/s) which can result in a very laggy session depending on what you are doing.
