I agree: when I as a new Saros user tried finding out how to use my google
account as Saros XMPP account, the search only turned up obscure sites about
how it does not really work anymore. This was pretty confusing and will stop
working at some point completely.

The listed servers in this sections are far from being reliably. If it is not
possible to establish Socks5 connections then the listed servers should not be
used. In fact an IBB connection will be established but this connections can
has very high latency and very small bandwidth available (typically only 4
kB/s) which can result in a very laggy session depending on what you are doing.
