when i read paul's e-mail, i think the problem is it appears he uninstalls between versions. uninstall probably deletes all the files in the quick search directory.
if he just closed the toolbar... logged off/on and installed new version (without uninstall) he should keep tweaks in localprefs.js and localsearch.css. JB > > That reminds me.
