Same situation here as well. I got the 'Can't Install Hook' error dialog immediately after installing the newest version. I did not uninstall 2.5.7 before installing 3.0, I only closed it and rebooted before installing. I'm using Win98 with IE6. Win-S does not bring focus to DSDQ. I have not altered search.htm in anyway.
