Reference to the errata sheet supplied with the the plans states the cut out
needs to be deepened by sanding the foam. In suppose with the newer lay-up
you might get away by cutting away an extra 2 millimeters. I definitely
would not try to take out any more than that. Kevin Hester might be able to
shed some light. By the way what length of graphite
roll have you purchased for the spar cap lay-up? I have been trying to sort
this question out for some time as the plans call for 250ft but have a new
stronger lay-up than originally called for which I presume requires more
tape.
