you guys can take this as a chapter 2 to what was last posted by Kylie , a
intro to Zurvan and some of the events after the other post, a bit of
insight to who he is and what he is like))

Zurvan tilted his head to the side looking at the radiant woman riding next
to him, both of them on two deep grey mounts they had taken for this ride
into the city, a trip they would do many times in the future, or at least
that was his understanding. The hooves ring out as they came in contact with
the dry road ahead of them, their destination this day was to Mysthaven.
Kylie wanted to buy him work clothes for his job at the riding academy. He
watched her hair for a moment bounce and flow like a silk ribbon in the air
behind her, the sunlight causing it to shimmer, his eyes then watched hers
which seemed to hold a smile as did her lips.

He thought back to the tavern where the first met. There was a sense of
familiarity with one another as they sat by the fire of the DragonMyst's
hearth. Enjoying the soft conversation, he recalled how they even whispered
into each another's ears and the sweetness of her breath. Even the gestures
they gave each other were familiar almost intimate, not like the touch of a
stranger, but this may be the delusions of a poor man.

A soft groan escaped his lips, and a sharp pain entered his stomach as he
thought about this and then the reality. He was not fooling himself a bit.
This woman was a married and loyal creature, and he was loyal to the bonds
of that. He was not about to go chasing after another's wife, he could never
with the guilt waning over him. But that realization caused a greater pain
to wash over his very being, and he closed his eyes and panted out a soft
breath. He tried to conceal this waning within himself because he did not
wish for Kylie to worry about his condition again.

The soft cool wind that traced over them did not help his condition. His
senses were so acute that he could hear every breath she took, every quiver
of the horses' bodies as they moved. His eyes watched the sway of the gait,
his mind wandering over the little things that meant so much to him. Like on
the first night after his shift, he'd fallen asleep in the stable and had
awoken startled as she was crouched to lay a warm blanket over him and be
sure he wasn't ill.

The secrets they shared, he would never speak of casually. The secret of his
own condition, and the pain her husband's condition often caused her. Zurvan
muttered then so softly that it could be barely heard on the wind, but he
knew her natural senses were as alert of him as his unnatural senses were of
her, " Aucun homme ne vaut la peine vos larmes, mais une fois que vous
trouvez celui qui est, il ne vous fera jamais le cri." His words, like
everything else he did, came from the depths of his heart and the depths of
his passion-filled soul.

Zurvan was a man who knew much pain and hurt through his life, his life a
time ago ruined by fire, death and massacre, yet he thought to imself "I am
alive" and to him that is something worth living for. Even though realism
told him he would never achieve the ultimate happiness he so wished and
desired, he still held a hope nested deeply in his soul. And the joy soared
in his heart when he made another person smile.

But even this passion-filled man's heart churned thinking about the sights
he had seen recently, the beautiful manor, how everything seemed so rich, so
beautful like he never dreamed. It made each of those destroyed relics of
his past seem to lose their luster. His old wooden and stone manor he lived
in when he was the top breeder and horse trainer in his homeland seemed like
a shack compared to the beauty of Kylie's home. Seeing it seemed to
reinforce some of the old conditioning he endured, saying to himself that no
matter how hard he ever tried, almost everyone else would be better then
him.

But Zurvan blinked and broke through his current train of thought again, he
saw the city of Mysthaven within sight and then he turned and heard Kylie
talking to him about it, telling him about the streets. He nodded to her,
becoming entrapped within the tone of her words. And the day progressed as
they entered the merchant streets.
