First of all I'd like to thank you all for the response on the psu connector problem.
Today I opened my second T-4XC and found some curious mods, perhaps one of you
can recognize this just by looking at it? http://www.gravitywell.org/station/v2_003.jpg
Circled in yellow is a 7808 voltagereg (with the gnd offset so I cant say what
output voltage it really provides)
Circled in blue is a coax with its shield grounded that goes to the vreg's output,
a white/purple wire has also been cut at this point.
Circled in green following the red wire from the vreg to a solderjoint then leading
into the PTO assembly.
Does this look like a standard-mod out there? If so - what's it for and what are the
(side) effects? Should I restore the radio to its original layout or just leave this mysterious
bug in there ? :-)
