Adding a fan to the chassis next to the transformer makes the unit live alot longer,
air-flow inside the unit was completely non-existant before this.

A few years ago I made a little fan on a post, attached to a magnet that I placed inside the R4B. The magnet holds it in place and it comes right out if you want to take it out. I rectified the filament voltage for the fan. It points at the transformer and makes it MUCH cooler than before. I always thought they ran a bit too hot.
