the other day I tried to use my TR7 on RTTY using the MMTTY program. This did not work. The reason, my transciever does not work in SSB mode. The transciever is OK in CW mode, but in AM mode there is only a carrier and no modulation. The microphone is OK (it works fine with my C-line). When speaking in the mic the VOX circuit activates the T/R relay.
