"Bill Carpenter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the drakelist gang

To refresh, in the process of converting my PS7 to run a non-Drake rig I stupidly reversed the leads when I hooked it back up to my power distribution block. Smoke appeared and the PS7 shut down. I determined that the SCR had blown so I disconnected it per a suggestion. I also replaced a burned 100 ohm resistor I found on the regulator board. The PS7 works but output is around 24 volts, not the 13.6 it should be. Power supplies are a mystery to me so any help on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. Could I have blown a pass transistor? Something in the regulator circuit.

What really makes me angry at myself is the conversion was easy, worked well but I screwed it up by not paying attention.

Bill NZ0T
