You need to use a shorted phono plug in the PTO jack unless you are using
the receiver with a transceiver. Thern connect a cable between the two PTO
jacks..

Subject: [drakelist] need help with c-line

Maybe a stupid question. have a new ....too me.... c line have the receiver
on the bench. added some filters and changed the two lamps. the meter lamp
works fine, the pto lamp won't light, till I supply a hard ground to the
lamp... then lights ok. traced the ground back to the pto/lamp jack...rca on
the back panel. I read and reread the manual, can't find anything. does the
jack need a shorting plug in order for the pto lamp to light when the r4c is
used alone... or is c-169 open? hard to tell from the lousy schematic
reprint I have. ....like I say the lamp works fine if I supply a good
chassis ground to the lamp.
thought I would ask before I made my self nuts.
thanks for any help on this.
