Unfortunately, that wasn't exactly practical.  When I arrived, the EMA comm
trailer was already parked on the concrete parking lot, too far away from the
grass for a GOOD earth ground.  The county EMA truck that brought it was long
gone by that time.  And I don' think the VA would have appreciated us
drilling a hole in their parking lot for a ground...

Ideally, I would like to tame this as much as possible under those
circumstances.  You can't always be assured of having a good earth ground
available under emergency operating conditions.

Power wasn't a problem, my 30-amp Astron clone power supply seems to have
plenty of overhead for generator variances.  And this year, we are using
shiney new EMA generators anyway.  The wire runs weren't terribly long
either, and no voltage problems were noted.
