Yeah, 27 ohms took the hum away, bigtime.  Everything else too.  Ended up
with about 4 volts on the heater with 3.7 ohms.  Hum still there.  Maybe I
have a flakey 6BN8.  I've got a couple 8BN8s on the way now.
