I suggest you talk to an audiologist before using them: if you have "nerve" deafness, as I do, then high-fidelity headphones can actually cause more damage to your ear, because they can provide enough high-frequency energy to injure your eardrum and associated organs, but you might not have enough hearing in the high ranges to sense that they're too loud.

Sorry to bear bad news, but best to check it out first.
