Hi all, OK OK I give...my beat up TR4 All the tubes light up....receives fine...although will need a general alignment. When you go to tune up a TR4 by the book...It will not. No increase in plate current. Does not matter into a dummy load or on an antenna. In any case all of the presets done...pg 19 First para; Go to Function Switch.....x-cw sok....advance xmtr gain until bias goes up a tad sok.... Peak RF tune no difference...on plate current ..plate control no difference. What am I missing......? Only physical difference between it and the schematic I have is that my V4 mixer tube is a 6EJ7 rather than the 6HS6 that I have in my book. The print on the chassis says this is correct. Finals are 6GJ5's.......... Suggestions of where to next.... Carl Hibbard
