Cool! Grounding is critical in several areas of the TR-7, so that would certainly help.

The problem with C320 is probably a result of high ESR, or AC impedance. An electrolytic can measure good on a capacitance meter and still have a high ESR.

Carrier suppression should be better than 60 dB below full output. You say yours is 45 dB down, but you don't say down from what!?!? :-)
