Jim F. remarked about a burnisher pocket tool used at Western Electric to burnish (polish) relay contacts. I notice these little tools appear to be round and similar to a clock repair tool called a smoothing broach (without a "ball" end) used to finish pivot holes on vintage clock front/back plates when the pivot has wobbled out the hole and all the little wheels quite turning. These tools small and large are also available in clock repair catalogs from mail-order vendors such as TimeSavers in Scottsdale, AZ. Also available are small, flat burnishers similar to a very smooth file, used to polish the pivot itself after it has been refinished. I have and use these tools regularly in repair of early american spring driven clocks.
Thought I would mention it since it is remotely related to the subject of cleaning radio relays, and also because I can't think of a single intelligent thing to say about repairing vintage Drake radios yet. My first Drake's are on the way, a TR-4C and an R-4B. 73, Ken _ N0VA
