I'm not sure that information is correct.  The 3-500Z has a 5.0 volt filament, 
not 12.0 v; it is supplied by the filament transformer in the RF deck, not via 
the L4 power supply.  Also, the secondary voltage will see variations based 
upon the input voltage, e.g. 210 v versus 220 v versus 230 v etc. so the meter 
reading on the secondary will reflect this.

12v filaments on the 3-500Zs and 6.3v for the panel lights :-)
