Chuck -

What is the serial number on your "A"? If it is a Version 4 there really isn't any functional difference between it and a "B", primarily cosmetics.

1. Black printing on "above the belt" lettering rather than "natural" aluminum.

2. Dished kc dial behind knob rather than flat.

3. Bright disc in Main Tuning knob.

4. "PTO in Use" light in dial fiducial.

5. "Phones" jack moved to side.

The _real_ changes include changing the PTO from bipolar to FET (Version 2 of "B"), 25 kHz Calibrator, minor AGC change to Noise Blanker, removal of VR tube and one AF Preamp stage.

That's all I can think of.......

Well I am pleased Garey. Until today when it "stuck" real good I was suspicious the AGC repairs I'd made in the R4A might be coming unglued. Reduces my itch to get an R4B :)
