The disk idea from the cd blanks is a good idea. PLEASE be very careful if you do the drillpress or hand drill idea. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES - when that stuff shatters, it is like a razor knife whirling around.

I think the original question was for the printed glass dial face on a 2B--of course round decals are just as easy to make.

There are also companies that will make one-off dry rub transfers (like the letra-set) but all in the proper orientations so it can be transfered without mis-alignment. It is surprisingly inexpensive--we use them and the decals on one-off test instruments and the like.

Yep. If you don't have the original disc, (the print just washed off, etc.,) there is a good sub at the top and bottom of each 50 or 100 pack of blank CDs. It's a little oversize, but can be trimmed down on a lathe, or by chucking into a low speed drill and scribed with an X-Acto knife held against a solid rest.

If you dont get any other info, I know how to make one. Basically
a blank glass and a reverse image waterslide decal
from inkjet/decal paper. Just need a scan of a 2b dial glass.Curt KU8L

Anybody ever tried this method except with a plastic dial from a 4 series ?
