The wiring error cited reminds me of a TR-4CW that I worked on last year. While clearing up another problem, the rig developed an intermittant. Traced it to a lead that was never soldered. Wrapped around a terminal, but not a bit of solder was ever placed on the terminal. Must have worked fine with just the "friction" fit for 30 years, until I started digging arournd, hi.
