No coax. The way it always looked to me, the screw was to adjust tension on an idler gear to "just right". There is an Allen setscrew acessible through a hole in the rear of the PTO cover that can be used to adjust tension on the lead screw and ball bearings, you could tighten it up just a little for a stiffer feel.
