They make a tremendous difference. The LEDs are very much monocolored compared to the broader wavelengths passed though a filter material. Blue-er than Drake's blue. You can find pictures on the internet. You can also build your own if you don't like the prices. Information also on the internet. I would post the URL to my blue LED page, but Drakelist bounces messages with a certian hostname in it.
