A drop of oil or Lithium grease on the detent assembly at the rear end
of the bandswitch. A drop of oil on the bushing through the front

wafers are aligned properly.
I like the PTFE (Teflon) based oil that can be found (sometimes) at Ace
Hardware, or at Radio Shack for more money. Comes in a nerdy little pocket
oiler that will fit in your pocket protector.
I have one of those. Every time I go to use it, the Teflon(?) has all
settled into one end. It takes a considerable amount of tipping back
and forth to get it redistributed! Not the first thing I reach for
unless I have plenty of time!! :-)
