That's a point ... the TR-7 does not have a notch filter. I never missed not
having one; however, using the R-7A in transceive with the TR-7 during the DX
contest, I found myself often wanting to reach for the notch when I was
listening on the TR-7 RX. 

A notch can be useful on SSB, and not just for nulling carriers. But for me,
it's not a deal-breaker for the TR-7.
