Yes, it's for the external VFO, and the jumper is needed on the TR-3 if
the VFO isn't in place. The manual will show just what the jumper does,
I can't remember at this hr of nite ;-) I believe the jumper isn't
needed in the TR-4, but it might be only in the TR-4C. (Garey'll set me
straight if I'm off. - hi Garey)
